From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On Friday, June 23, 2004, an RV-9A, N247SD, landed at ag alley airport (4NK6) in Marion, NY to the north, and drifted off the left side of the runway on roll out. Ag alley is a grass field with a plowed field immediately adjacent to the left side of the landing runway. As the aircraft entered the plowed field the nosewheel collapsed and the aircraft rolled over the nose onto its back. The aircraft was at a slow speed as it entered the field and damage to the airframe appears minimal. The pilot sustained minor cuts and bruises. This incident is considered closed.
