From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot was arriving at the Casa Grande, AZ (cgz) airport, visual, normal approach to runway 23. After touching down on the centerline, the aircraft veered off to the right, eventually causing the r/h wheel to run off the edge of the runway. The a/c then turned hard to the right causing the l/h wheel to go off the runway and digging into the sand and "collapsing/curling" inward. The l/h wing tip and l/h horizontal stabilizer contacted the ground but the a/c came to rest in an upright position. There were no injuries to the pilot or his (one) passenger. There was no post event fire. The a/c received substantial damage.
