From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot privacy data omitted came to the Thomasville airport with the intent to complete his required currency requirements. The pilot privacy data omitted had completed one traffic pattern by executing a touch and go. As he turned final on his approach, he realized that he was too high so he reduced power and added an additional flap setting. As the pilot privacy data omitted approached the airport, he felt that he was too low and added power in an attempt to go around, however, the aircraft struck corn stalks and a fence. The aircraft then veered off to the left and struck an embankment before coming to rest approx 200 yards from the end and to the left of runway 22.
