From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) privacy data omitted, the pilot, and privacy data omitted the passenger, departed and landed at lbl. Upon landing roll, aircraft made a uncommanded left turn. Brakes were applied to slow the aircraft and for directional control. The three skid marks on the runway indicate the nose tire was turning left and both brakes were applied. The aircraft left the runway, and the nose gear assembly dug into the soft soil and broke away and separated the aircraft. The aircraft pitched over on its top, the right wing broke away at the wing root and also separated from the aircraft. The speed of the aircraft was estimated by the pilot to be approximately 30 mph as it left the runway. The pilot and passenger released their harness assemblies and evacuated the aircraft with minor injuries. Both were taken by ambulance to local hospital, treated for minor cuts and released.
