From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was giving a sight seeing ride flying north over the Wisconsin river at a maximum altitude of 50 feet. Pilot stated that he didn't see the power lines, although he was aware that they were there. When he initiated a climb he saw the power lines just before striking the lower 3 lines estimated to be 50 feet above the water. The aircraft struck the 3 lower power lines with the main landing gear and nosed over and went into a rocky area of the river about 3 feet deep. The aircraft then came to rest inverted.
