From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilotprivacy data omittedlanded Piper PA-28, N931FS, on rwy 8 at Dixon, Illinois, rolled beyond the newly marked runway (rwy) threshold, and crossed four concrete cuts--each about one foot wide, two inches deep, and extending across the width of the concrete surface. The nose wheel strut collapsed in the fourth cut and the propeller was damaged. The pilot was aware that rwy surface construction was being conducted and that rwy number and rwy threshold paint markings had been moved to indicate the useable surface of the rwy. The pilot was unaware of the surface cuts and no such detail was available on the NOTAM. The rwy, as newly marked between the threshold numbers, was of adequate length for this aircraft.
