From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Student pilot was executing touch and go's. on his fifth landing the aircraft's main landing gear collapsed. As a result this caused minor damage to the aircraft's left flap, aileron and stabilator. Repairs to the flap, aileron and stabilator will be accomplished, and the left and right main landing gear assembly will be replaced with serviceable parts. No damage to the aircraft structures. All three souls on board were not injured, nor did they require any medical treatment. NTSB only input is that based on information received, they are classifying it as an incident. Possible m&d could be filed if it is determined that there was a malfunction or defect with the gear assembly.
