From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Crw ATC cleared N21WD to descend to 3800 MSL, pilot stated he broke out of the bases at 5000 MSL into VMC conditions 15 NE of the Logan, west Virginia airport (6L4). The pilot stated he cancelled his IFR with crw ATC and continued a straight in visual approach to Logan's runway 24. The pilot stated on approximately a 5 mile final he completed his approach and landing check list and confirmed landing gear down flaps 20 degrees. On approximately a 1 mile final the pilot said he observed a patch of fog between his position and the approach end of the runway, he also stated he appeared to be a little "high" for the approach and so he elected a "go around" and instinctively retracts the landing gear and flaps. During the ensuing close in left hand pattern back around to runway 24 on a close in left base he notices an aural warning which he stated he thought was the "stall" warning so he applied throttle to maintain his indicated airspeed of 105 mph which silenced the horn. Over the runway he retarded the throttles horn re-activated however "gear up" landing was nor imminent. He stated he shut down aircraft systems and evacuated the aircraft through the main clam shell doors.

As the FAA filed it
