From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 11/05/2004 @ approximately 18:32 local time, aircraft N83SG was landing on runway 04 at Houston William p. Hobby airport. At approximately 80 knts indicated airspeed the aircraft veered to the right of the runway. The pilot reported that he had let the co-pilot fly this leg of the trip and anticipated the co-pilot to correct for the unexplained condition. As the aircraft continued on its path the pilot pushed full forward on the left rudder pedal to correct the aircraft. The pilot stated that the rudder pedal was already at full deflection and proceeded to apply full braking power. The aircraft continued in its direction and left the runway at approximately 10 mph. The aircraft continued in the soft terrain for about 40 feet taking out one (1) breakaway sign. Damage to the aircraft was limited to the radome, left main gear door and a small dent in the left flap. There were no injuries.
