From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) According to pilots statement, pilot departed allegan airport (35D) enroute to Jackson airport (jxn). Upon reaching the Jackson airport on flare above the runway the aircraft encountered a strong wind shear that forced the aircraft onto the ground unexpectedly upon which point the aircraft bounced. After the bounce the pilot added full throttle for a go around and was hit again by the wind forcing the plane down. As the aircraft hit the ground the nose wheel bent from the force and forced the aircraft off the runway. As the aircraft left the runway surface the propeller struck snow on the side of the runway. The aircraft came to a stop in the snow. The pilot was able to taxi the aircraft back to the parking ramp. The aircraft sustained minor damage to the propeller as well as the nose fork.
