From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated that after dropping off passengers at the air net FBO, he contacted ground control and was cleared to taxi to C1 for an intersection takeoff on runway 28L. He proceeded to taxi while switching radio frequencies. He turned left at the first left out of the ramp parking area thinking it was the taxiway when instead it is an airport accessory road. The aircraft's left wingtip strick a fence, when the pilot tried to turn around the right wingtip struck the fence. He then shut down and ramp personnel towed the aircraft back to the FBO ramp.
