From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated that the right landing gear collapsed during take-off from a dirt strip. He said that the aircraft had a full load of product for aerial application and that there was a light crosswind. After the gear collapsed, he lost directional control and the aircraft veered off into a drainage ditch that runs along the right side of the dirt strip. The aircraft went nose-down into the ditch, damaging the propeller and engine. Other than the right landing gear, the airframe only sustained minor damage. The pilot was not injured.
