From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft landing rwy 27 at ptk, pilot stated he wasn't sure if he landed nose first or all 3 gear together, but aircraft began to porpoise. It bounced several times, then veered left off runway, struck a small sign, and became stuck in the mud. Pilot decided to let the aircraft take him where it wanted, due to concern of flipping aircraft over. Minimal aircraft damage, limited to exhaust stack, dent in lower cowling near exhaust stack, and to underside of right main gear leg.
