From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot privacy data omitted radioed his landing approach at approximate 16:00 local time. Upon final approach he attempted to line up with the centerline; however a crosswind caused the plane to drift to the left. The pilot ^privac^ attempted to correct for the course deviation and powered up, but continued to drift left. He saw the trees and determined that he would be unable to abort landing and fly over the treeline. The pilot ^privac^ then ditched the plane in the grass. The aircraft traveled approximately 266 feet to an initial impact location and traveled approximately 214 feet more before coming to rest at the tree line.
