From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On April 22, 2005, while on approach to Eppley Airfield in Omaha, Lear jet, LR-25-D, N520SR, had a landing gear indication light fail on its panel. The pilot stated he had confirmed he had three gear lights in green on inbound leg, but at outer markers he noted one was not on. Pilot asked the tower to confirm gear down and then made a go around to confirm gear was down with the throttles warning system. The aircraft then landed without incident at the airport.
