From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot was landing at the Wasilla aiport on a gravel strip next to the main runway. This landing was into the sun which covered up the fact that some deep ruts were in the landing area. These ruts were caused by a truck after the frost had gone out of the ground. After touchdown the aircraft started to veer to the left. The pilot applied full right brake and the peddle went all the way to the floor with no effect. With no way to counter the left turn the aircraft went into a ditch.
