From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The FAR part 91 currency flight originated in ksus. After an approach into kaln, the BE-58 proceeded to kcps for a visual, simulated single engine approach and landing to runway 30L, with the option from the tower. During the approach, the airspeed was noted to be 10 KTS above the full flap operational speed. A go around was initiated when the crew heard unusual noised during the landing flare. The aircraft responded normally during the go around and the subsequent climb out. The crew reported that the aircraft was responding normally. Due to the proximity of the aircraft to ksus the crew elected to go on to ksus and performed a no flap landing. It was upon shut down that the crew realized that the prop were also damaged. The PIC stated that the gear horn and the red gear unsafe light were operating (hearing the horn and seeing the red light would be normal when simulating a single engine with the throttle). The crew stated that they were using a paper checklist.

As the FAA filed it
