From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated: while landing on rwy 03 a gust of wind from about 45%-90% right side (x-wind) about 10KTS, caused the a/c to weathervane to the right. I did have the appropriate x-wind controls in place, left rudder-right aileron. Then suddenly the a/c veered to the left, that is when the right wing tip contacted the ground, then the a/c turned right and the left wtip struck the runway. The aircraft skidded off the left side of runway and AME to rest at the intersection of rwy & ramp area.
