From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Passengers on Continental flight 066 (cle-lgw) did not like the seating arrangements provided by the airline, which made them upset. The airline attempted to move them to new seats but to no avail. The passengers continued to be upset and the police were called. The passengers voluntarily exited the aircraft and were re-booked for the next flight. The aircraft never left the gate and the airline ground personnel handled most of the incident. The cabin crew was not kept from performing their duties and they were not threatened in any way. The incident looks to be an airline service issue and not a flight crew disturbance.

As the FAA filed it
