From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The flight was being conducted under FAR 141 and consisted of a flight instructor who was pilot-in-command and a student who was practicing to be a flight instructor. They were in the traffic pattern at Logan airport. On their fifth cycle in the pattern another aircraft entered the traffic pattern and it was situated at this flight's one o'clock on a wider downwind leg. This flight got caught up in the interplane radio communications and broke their habit pattern and were beyond the usual point where they normally extended their landing gear in preparation for landing. Between the two aircraft it was decided that N15836 would land first and the pilot privacy data omitted decided to simulate a loss of engine power landing. They claim they never heard the gear unsafe position warning system. The aircraft landed gear up on runway 35.
