From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) privacy data omitted pilot was landing on runway 24 at Lonesome Pine Airport (lnp). Pilot reported that he had just flown through a thunderstorm and was still in rain at the time of landing. He stated that his "nerves were rattled" after flying through the thunderstorm and this caused him to forget to extend the landing gear. He did not recall hearing the gear warning horn. The aircraft touched down on the runway, slid approximately 1000 feet and came to rest in grass alongside the runway.
