What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) The pilot attempted to takeoff from a soft field during warm and very humid conditions. The aircraft lifted off normally however once airborne, the aircraft would not accelerate, even though the engine was producing the required RPM. The pilot recognized this and attempted to land the aircraft. As the aircraft touched down, it bounced back into the air. At this time the pilot was running out of runway and facing trees and interstate ahead. The pilot then forced the airplane onto the ground. In doing so, the left wing tip struck the ground and came off of the aircraft. The aircraft continued to skid on wet grass, causing the right landing gear to come off, prior to coming to rest.
