From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot reported that the right engine throttle rolled back to idle position during takeoff roll, the pilot reduced the power on the left engine to idle but could not maintain directional control during the aborted takeoff and the aircraft departed the hard surface runway. The pilot was able to recover the aircraft back on the runway but could not stop in the remaining runway available. The aircraft again departed the hard surface runway after the pilot attempted a high speed left turn towards a taxiway which created side loads on the left gear causing the left gear to collapse.

As the FAA filed it
