From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The flight crew of N198DF, a CE-560, landed at Kansas City International Airport (mci), Kansas City, MO. The aircraft was being directed by line personnel from executive Beechcraft as it taxied into the parking area on the executive Beechcraft ramp. One person was in front and to the left of the airplane and another was standing in front of a parked aircraft, N511RH, a saab-2000, to ensure that the right wing of N198DF would clear the nose of N511RH. As N198DF taxied in close proximity to N511RH, the person in front of that aircraft signaled two times to the flight crew to turn toward the left away from N511RH. When the flight crew did not respond, line personnel signaled for the airplane to stop, however, the flight crew did not observe that signal in time to avoid allowing the right wingtip to strike the nose gear of N511RH.
