From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) As the pilot approached slc and selected gear down, the landing gear only extended half way. Gear was retracted and extended again with the same results. Pilot used emergency landing gear extension bar to fully extend the gear but did not get a green light to indicate down and locked. After roll out on the runway the gear collapsed and the aircraft skidded 500 feet to a stop. After the aircraft was lifted from the runway, maintenance used the emergency gear extension handle and successfully lowered and locked the gear in place. The aircraft was then towed to the hangar.
