From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Examination of the wet turf runway found the right main and nose gear made contact with runway 10 at the intersection of runways 10 and 6. This left approximately 1150 feet remaining of the 3460 foot runway in which to stop the aircraft. The pilot stated he elected to continue to land rather than go-around as he felt he could not overfly the factory at the end of the runway. The aircraft came to rest in the ditch at the edge of the highway.

As the FAA filed it
