From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Helicopter partially lost engine power during approach to landing at assigned base helipad in Marble Falls, Texas. Pilot reacted appropriately and used what available power remained to arrive at the helipad, due to low engine power and a resultant low rotor speed helicopter struck the ground with a tail low attitude and tail rotor struck the ground resulting in the main rotors contacting the tailcone horizontal stabilizer vertical end plates and causing main rotor blade damage. Helicopter came to rest upright on the helipad. No injuries were reported.
