From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 11/7/2005, LR-60, N494PA, operated by pinnacle air LLC as flight 494, departed oma. After departure the pilot reported that the aircraft was returning to oma due to landing gear problems. Contract maintenance inspected the aircraft and found that the landing gear would not retract properly due to snow packed in the wheel well area. This was interfering with the squat switch sensor and gear uplocks. Maintenance cleaned the wheel well areas and the gear cycled satisfactory.
