From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) privacy data omitted on climb out the number two engine fire warning light came on. The pilot pulled the throttles back on the number two engine and the fire indication light became intermittent. The pilot landed the aircraft without incident and shut down the #2 engine and initiated both fire bottles on the number two engine. The passengers were evacuated normally without injury. The air carrier mechanics changed the lower #2 engine fire loop element and removed and replaced both fire bottles and ferried the aircraft to their maintenance base.
