From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was building this home built aircraft for the past 17 years. This was the first flight for this aircraft and the pilot did not want anyone with more experience to fly it in case something would happen. The pilot flew for approx. 30 minutes at alititude with no problems. The pilot then came in for a landing and got too slow on the final approach and the aircraft stalled causing the nose and right wing to drop. Substantial damage to the aircraft and the pilot received minor injuries.
