From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

During takeoff, approx 10 ft off of the runway, the aircraft yawed to the right. The pilot attempted to land on the remaining runway and ended up with a hard landing on a grass area on the right hand side of the runway. The right prop was damaged due to contact with the ground. The pilot then utilized the left engine to pull the aircraft from the grass and taxied to the airport ramp. The engine will be removed and sent to Continental for teardown. A report will follow.
