From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft made a visual approach for landing on runway 22R at the Baton Rouge airport and on landing, the fuselage hull (bottom) of the aircraft made contact with the runway surface and the aircraft skidded to a stop at the side of the runway. There was some scrape marks and some damage to the aircraft hull. The aircraft was substantially lifted off the ground with the help of airport police and the pilot was able to manually lower the left main landing gear. It was at this juncture that pictures were taken of the aircraft. After additional personnel arrived on the scene, the aircraft was again lifted up and remaining gear (right main and the tailwheel) were manually extended to the locked position. The pilot then started the aircraft and taxied the aircraft to a nearby ramp.
