From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On November 28, 2005 at approximately 1330L, N761FL, a Cessna 210M, s/n 210-62221 departed the Kirbyville (T12) airport, enroute to the beaumont municipal (bmt) airport. The aircraft lost engine power during climb and crashed near the Kirbyville Airport on county road 407. The aircraft came to rest at an approximately northerly heading, 35-40 yds north of the intersection with county road 404. The pilot stated that the aircraft, after a normal run-up and takeoff, lost all engine power over the departure threshold of runway 31, at approx. 200 feet AGL. The airman attempted to switch fuel tanks, extended the landing gear, switch the boost pump on, and land on the county road. Post accident examination of the aircraft showed that the left main gear only, remained, folded up beneath the aircraft. The engine/propeller controls appeared to be in their proper positions. The fuel selector was found in the l/h side of the off region. The wings were placarded for automotive fuel. The nose landing gear and right main gear had been removed from the aircraft during the landing event. The pieces of these assemblies were found along the impact path of the aircraft.
