From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) American eagle, flight #4818, bos-lga, Emb-135-LR, at 1531 EST, 12/06/05, while parked at gate B-23 in Boston, MA, had an American eagle maintenance van roll and strike the inboard fairing of the right inboard flap causing damage to the flap fairing near the flap jack screws. The aircraft was boarding at the time of the incident. There were no injuries reported. The American eagle maintenance van registration no. is P57149, and aerodrome permit #2914. There was minor damage to the maintenance van. Tuesday afternoon massport operations advised me of an incident involving an American eagle maintenance van and an American eagle Embraer Emb-135-LR, on gate B23 in Boston. Upon my arrival, an American eagle maintenance van, aerodrome permit #2914, vehicle #P57149, was backed up against the trailing edge of the inboard right wing of an Embraer, N707EB, causing slight damage to the flap fairing and flap assembly. Inspectors statement: the state police and myself spoke with American eagle supervisory privacy data omitted who explained to us that the driver who caused the accident had left the scene. I spoke to the mechanic who did maintenance on the aircraft and he explained that he drove the van over to the maintenance trailer and shifted it in park and placed the emergency brake on. Then he walked inside of the trailer to fill out paper work. The next thing he knew a crewmember from the aircraft came into the trailer to advise that the aircraft was hit by the van. The vehicle was removed from trailing edge of wing but did not appear to have any mechanical problems. Aircraft was grounded until repairs are made.
