From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) On 12/13/05 aircraft N454SF, operated by grant aviation inc. and piloted by privacy data omitted drifted off the runway at Newtok, Alaska during the takeoff roll. The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the left wing tip, drag link on the nose gear, and the propeller. The wind at the time was a direct crosswind with velocity of 12 to 20 knots. The 35 feet wide and 2200 feet long runway was icy with gravel protruding through the ice. I have been unable to talk with the pilot privacy data omitted as the company has taken him off flight status for 30 days without pay. When I interview him I will amend this investigation at that time. (-23 amendment) I interviewed the PIC and he stated due to the crosswind, narrow width of the runway, and icy conditions on takeoff the aircraft started to drift toward the edge of the runway. The left gear hit a snow berm and the aircraft left the runway causing substantial damage.
