From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The taxi ways could not be plowed causing the pilot to taxi the aircraft onto a snow berm at west edge of the runway, coming to a complete stop, the pilot released the brakes and the aircraft started to roll backwards. When the pilot applied the brakes, the tail of the aircraft struck the ground causing damage to the tie down ring and the associated stringers. The damage to the aircraft was minor and the pilot elected to fly the aircraft back to bethel after he was unable to locate a telephone. He said the aircraft was on the runway, presenting a danger to any landing aircraft, and he believed it was in the interest of safety to relocate the aircraft to bethel.
