From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The pilot stated that he landed "a little" fast and floated in ground effect for about half of the runway before touching down. He estimated his speed over the approach end as 120 mph and his touchdown speed for this aircraft is approximately 60 mph. He stated that he wasn't used to the brakes and used the brakes sparingly. He stated that he was still going fast as he approached the end of the runway. He veered left at the end of the runway onto a taxiway where he hit a taxiway light and the main gear collapsed. There is evidence of a skid mark where the aircraft turned which appears to have come from the right main gear. He stated that there were no mechanical issues with the aircraft.
