From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Student pilot stated that he came in low and fast approaching runway 30 at C77. He landed with the nose of the aircraft not aligned with runway. All three wheels touched ground hard simultaneously. The aircraft then bounced into the air and veered off the runway to the right and touched down in snow-covered ground. The aircraft then skidded to a stop. The nosewheel folded back due to the impact. Pilot stated that both wingtips made contact with the ground, although he did not know how that happened.
