From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot was on cross country flight from barso, TX headed to pearl city, AZ. Winslow police report privacy data omitted states that the pilot told them he was running low on fuel so he decided to stop in Winslow prior to proceeding onto his destination. Police report stated he was tired during the flight; that when he was getting ready to land at the airport he simply forgot to engage his landing gear, and when he realized he forgot, it was too late. The pilot landed the aircraft on runway 22 with the gear up and came to a rest on the aircraft belly. He then contacted prescott flight service which contacted the Winslow police department. The aircraft was removed from the runway and upon inspection of the aircraft controls it was noted that the landing gear handle was still set in the "up" detent. Personnel who moved the aircraft stated they did not move the gear selector handle, but lifted the aircraft and hand pumped the gear down. The personnel also noted that they had to remove a metallic drink holder from between the seats before they could deploy the emergency gear handle.
