From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

(-23) Inspector privacy data omitted and I responded to an accident involving N1575, a Bell 47 helicopter in Denison Texas. We arrived to the scene at approximately 1600 local. N1575 was sitting upright on the Denison high school football field. The tail rotor was located approximately 2-3 feet from the tail boom. The main rotor stabilizer bar was found approximately 200-300 yards from the accident site. Initial inspection of the part revealed the part had broken from its' mounting. Inspection also revealed the part appeared to have been cracked around its' circumference prior to separation from the aircraft. It appears when the stabilizer bar separated from the mrin rotor assembly it struck the tail rotor causing the aircraft to lose control and cause an emergency landing.
