From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The flight instructor pilot stated that they were doing touch and go landings on runway 08 at Griffith Airport. The weather was VMC with occasional gusty winds. On the 7th landing they were approximately 3/4 of the way down the runway on rollout when at a speed of 20MPH the right main gear collapsed. The aircraft immediately veered right, the right wing at the tip tank impacted the runway and almost simultaneously the right prop struck the runway. The aircraft continued veering right when it came to a full stop off of the runway. The pilot immediately shut off the fuel, then the magnetos and battery master switch. The pilot and student exited the aircraft with no injuries.
