From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) 01/18/2006, Cta 501 aircraft departed Reno-Tahoe international airport for a flight to eko. Pilot reported that he shut the left engine down due to a fuel pump failure. Pilot returned to Reno and landed at 181100 PST and taxied to jet west. An A&P mechanic checked the aircraft fuel system and found the left fuel filler partially plugged. After draining and cleaning the fuel filters, the aircraft engines ran normally with the correct fuel pressure readings. The aircraft departed the following day for eko.
