From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Following landing gear retraction after takeoff, the landing gear warning light illuminated on the left hydraulic system. There were indications that they were losing pressure and quantity. The right landing gear door did not retract. The crew selected gear down with three green lights. An emergency was declared and the flight returned to Salt Lake City and landed. Maintenance found that the right hand truck pressure hose had ruptured at the lower end approximately three inches above the attach nut. The hose was changed the area was cleaned, fluid added, the system tested, and the aircraft was returned to service.
