From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) After making a full stall landing with his Luscombe, the pilot privacy data omitted detected the tail wheel began to shimmy violently. The pilot privacy data omitted brought the tail back up to stop the shimmy. During this maneuver, the pilot privacy data omitted felt the nose starting to veer to the left. The pilot privacy data omitted suspected that when he pushed on the right rudder to correct the nose veering to the left, he might have caught the heel brake which grabbed and has a reputation for grabbing according to him, caused the aircraft to tug to the right and induced minor damage to both the right wing tip and propeller.
