From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) The airplane veered off the runway during the landing roll. The student pilot decided to perform touch-and-go practice takeoff and landings after arriving at his destination airport. On the third landing the main landing gear touched down first with the nose landing gear following shortly thereafter. As he reached his hand over to raise the flap lever to the "up" position, the airplane encountered a gust of wind. The airplane veered off the right side of the runway and collided with a gate. The airplane incurred damage to the right strut.
