From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Aircraft was being ferried from paint shop at redbird airport (krbd) to the Shreveport downtown airport (kdtn) for an annual inspection. On arrival, pilot had indication that landing gear was not fully extended. After multiple attempts to remedy the problem, pilot elected to land at the Shreveport Regional Airport (kshv) with gear partially extended. Mechanics on scene made preliminary observation of some moving parts of the landing gear mechanism were coated with paint which may have prevented normal operation. Pilot also reported that he experienced some problems with the aircraft pitch trim during flight.
