From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot landed on rwy 08 at Northumberland county (N79). Upon landing the aircraft began to porpoise. Pilot added full power to go-around. The aircraft drifted left of the rwy center line. Seconds before contacting the tops of the trees the pilot selected flaps from 30 degrees (full down) to 0 degrees (full up), and lowered the nose of the aircraft, to increase airspeed. When the aircraft's nose was lowered the aircraft contacted the top of a row of trees, rolled inverted and struck the ground nose first. The force bent the entire aircraft fuselage just aft of the firewall and the aircraft came to rest inverted. The pilot crawled out of the wreckage and called 911 on her cell phone. She was life-flighted to danville, PA medical center in serious condition.
