From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

VFR flight conditions prevailed, and no flight plan was filed. The aircraft was severely damaged, and the pilot and two passengers were injured. The pilot held a commercial pilot certificate with private pilot privileges for rotorcraft-helicopter. The flight originated at sky heliport, T57, garland, Texas, on may 28, 2006, at 0950 am, CST. The aircraft engine manufacturer, FAA, and NTSB accomplished a preliminary inspection of the engine and could not determine a cause for "loss of power". The engine is being sent to the aircraft manufacturer for testing and tear down. The NTSB is continuing the investigation for the loss of engine power issue. The NTSB will contact the FAA with results of engine testing.
