From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) This aircraft impacted terrain after takeoff from runway 17R approximately 90 seconds after a Dehavilland dash 8 aircraft departed from the same runway. Wind was approximately 6 knots from the east. The aircraft was airborne only momentarily after takeoff, attaining an altitude of approximately 15 feet above ground level. The aircraft then rolled substantially to the left, impacted the runway, "cartwheeled" in a direction angling left of the original takeoff heading, and left the runway. The airplane came to rest right-side up in the vacant area to the north of the runway heading southeast.

As the FAA filed it

THE AIRCRAFT THEN ROLLED SUBSTANTIALLY TO THE LEFT, IMPACTED THE RUNWAY, "CARTWHEELED" IN A DIRECTION ANGLING LEFT OF THE ORIGINAL TAKEOFF HEADING, AND LEFT THE RUNWAY. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST RIGHT-SIDE UP IN THE VACANT AREA TO THE NORTH OF THE RUNWAY HEADING SOUTHEAST.
