What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) Uncertificated pilot took off from an airport in an unregistered, uncertificated aircraft with the flaporons fully extended. The aircraft climbed to 100 feet but began to settle back to the ground. Attempts to adjust the flap setting were difficult because of the position of the flap control and the extreme nose down forces on the aircraft during the takeoff. The uncertificated pilot elected to land in a pasture off the end of the runway. The ground was muddy, the nose of the uncertificated, unregistered aircraft dug in, the main landing gear was ripped off and the right wing was damaged during the off airport landing. There was no fire and there were only minor injuries to the pilot.
